Action Earth supports volunteers across Scotland

to make a positive difference to their local environment.

Due to unprecedented demand for Action Earth Grants we can only consider:

  • Projects in the more deprived areas of Scotland where there may be reduced local facilities and opportunities.
  • Local Nature Reserves (LNRs).
  • Projects which involve at least 35 volunteers and which make a substantial environmental impact.
  • Projects which involve groups of vulnerable people as volunteers.

“Grab a Grant!” - Shetland Volunteers

We challenge communities to organise activities that protect the environment for future generations. We offer grants to projects which increase volunteer numbers in environmental activities. Projects should take place between April 2015 and December 2015.

We offer 2 types of grant.

  1. Action Earth Awards from £50 to £250 are available to volunteers groups.
  2. Local Nature Reserve Awards offer up to £500 for activities taking place on LNRs
New Homes for Scotland's Wee Five!

This year we encourage all projects to incorporate at least one habitat build in
their project.  Click Here for ideas.
